Trauma & PTSD Treatment
You can be in control again.
Michael Sieger is a licensed therapist trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma and depression. ART works quickly, with clients reporting relief from trauma symptoms in as little as one session. And while it may sound too good to be true, ART works even if you don’t discuss a single specific detail of the trauma. Depending on your symptoms and the nature of your trauma, you may need to engage in ART for as many as 5 sessions to fully heal. Accelerated Resolution Therapy works faster than Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which often takes 6-12 sessions to produce a similar outcome. Many people do not seek out therapy for trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
because there is a fear of having to relive the trauma by talking and thinking about it. This is not surprising given one of the symptoms often present with trauma – an avoidance of anything that reminds you of the terrible things that happened. On a basic self-protective level, it makes sense to avoid thinking about or talking about the traumatic event because of how disruptive it is to your mind and your body. Unfortunately, the more you try to bury the trauma, the stronger it resurfaces and the more hopeless you feel about your ability to ever cope with what happened.
Trauma makes the world around us no longer feel safe and secure, and it negatively impacts all aspects of who we are – feelings, thoughts, relationships, behaviors, attitudes, hopes and dreams – to the point that we no longer feel like a whole and complete person. Perhaps worst of all, trauma threatens to take away your sense of control. That’s why it is necessary that you reach out for help so that you can effectively process the traumatic events and regain a sense of control and confidence in your life. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a quick-and-easy tool to get you there. Trauma therapy should never be long, drawn-out and painful.
Regain a sense of control and confidence in your life.
